Cinekid is the world’s largest children’s film and media festival, and its audience is the most honest one there is: if something doesn’t work, a room full of kids will let you know immediately. The technology has to be both robust and genuinely hands-on, because in the MediaLab the visitors are the ones operating it.
We covered the full range — straightforward screenings, the interactive MediaLab installations that children touch all day long, and the live awards ceremony. Each needed a different balance of spectacle and resilience, and all of them had to keep running with no margin for downtime.
