For ten days every November, Amsterdam turns into the world's largest documentary festival. Established cinemas, converted theatres and pop-up venues all have to screen to the same standard — and they all have to do it at once. We run the technical chain that makes that possible.
Our work begins long before the first screening: ingesting and quality-controlling hundreds of DCPs, flagging the ones that will fail in the room before they reach an audience, and building a delivery schedule that keeps every venue fed. During the festival we hold a dedicated base and put engineers on the ground, so a problem at one venue never becomes a problem for the programme.
We also realise the industry events — talks, awards, premieres — where the AV has to be invisible but flawless, because the room is full of people who notice when it isn't.
