EYE Filmmuseum — Nuri Bilge Ceylan: Inner Landscapes

EYE Filmmuseum

Exhibition built around the work of Turkish filmmaker Nuri Bilge Ceylan, integrating film stills, sound and immersive projection.

Nuri Bilge Ceylan is as much a photographer as a filmmaker, and “Inner Landscapes” sits in the space between the two — large-format stills, fragments of his films, and the long, patient atmospheres his work is known for.

The challenge was tonal as much as technical: an exhibition this quiet can’t be broken by a hot projector fan or a stray reflection. We tuned brightness and contrast to the imagery rather than to a standard, controlled ambient light around each work, and kept the installation acoustically calm so the slowness of the work could land.
