“Underground” gathers experimental and counter-cultural film — work that was never made for a clean white cube, and that loses something if you sanitise it. The brief was to present it with gallery-grade reliability while keeping the rawness intact.
We specified hardware that disappears into the architecture and runs unattended through long museum hours, and built immersive screening spaces where the format of each work — grain, ratio, projection style — was treated as part of the work rather than something to normalise.
